Established in 2024
At Woofs for William, our mission is to support children living with Type 1 diabetes on their journey to receiving a specially trained diabetic alert dog (DADs). Through fundraising and community support, we provide grants that help families afford these life-changing companions, improving safety, independence, and peace of mind.
Through our nonprofit, we aim to foster independence, enhance safety, and offer emotional support, ensuring that children with Type 1 diabetes have the opportunity to live a healthier, happier life.

Paws, Purpose, and Progress.
Every fundraiser, donation, and supporter helps bring us one step closer to making life safer and more independent for children living with Type 1 diabetes.

Diabetic alert dogs (DADs) are life-saving companions for children with Type 1 diabetes, trained to detect dangerous changes in blood sugar levels before they become emergencies. These dogs provide a layer of safety, especially during sleep or play, when symptoms might go unnoticed.
Every brave kid with Type 1 needs a village—be part of theirs.
Children with Type 1 diabetes face a daily routine filled with blood sugar checks, administration of insulin, and careful monitoring of everything they eat and do. It’s a constant balancing act that requires courage, responsibility, and support—often far beyond their years. This relentless schedule can be exhausting and overwhelming, not just for the child, but for their whole family. Donations help ease the financial burden of obtaining a diabetic alert dog through grant funding and community support.
